    Abdul Wahid Soomro was born on October 21, 1962 in village Mohammad Hashim Soomro of Thatta, Sindh. He was the son of Ex-MNA Mohammad Khan Soomro who is the closed friend of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. he went to Cadet College Petaro (CCP) for further studies. He did his matriculation and intermediate from the Cadet College Petaro (CCP). He started his political career in his student life in 1981. He got member ship in Sindh People Student Federation (SPSF) and then became the President of Sindh People Student Federation (SPSF) unit Liaquat Medical College (LMC). Jamshoro, He graduated from Liaquat Medical College (LMC), Jamshoro, and Sindh in 1989 and he also got the degree of B.Sc from Sindh University. On 18th of February 2008 he was elected the Member of National Assembly of Pakistan from NA-237

US to give $2 bn military aid to Pakistan; but no nuke deal

Ignoring India's concerns, the United States appears all set to offer Pakistan a $2 billion new military assistance package to fight extremists, but an India-type civil nuclear deal is not on the cards. "We're not in any discussions with the Pakistanis on civil nuclear cooperation," Frank Ruggiero, deputy special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, told reporters on Tuesday ahead of a three-day Strategic Dialogue with Pakistan.

The dialogue led by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi culminates on Friday. Pakistan's army chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani will also take part and hold talks at the Pentagon.
The Pentagon and the Pakistani military have been talking about a framework for security assistance, he said. "We specifically worked with the Pakistanis over the summer to identify what would be the types of military equipment and so on,"
"That will be a topic of discussion at the strategic dialogue," Ruggiero said declining to spell out details of the proposed aid package. But CNN said the package totals as much as $2 billion over five years.

Three NATO soldiers die in Afghan south

KABUL: Three international soldiers, two of them Romanian, died on Friday in volatile southern Afghanistan, officials said, while an air strike killed 15 militants in the northeast near the Pakistan border.
The two Romanian soldiers were killed and a third wounded in a landmine explosion in the province of Zabul, the Ministry of Defence said in Bucharest.
The latest casualties bring to 17 the number of Romanian military personnel killed in Afghanistan since the US-led invasion in 2001 ousted the Taliban.
A total of 1,663 Romanian troops are currently deployed in the war-torn country, most of them as part of NATO's International security Assistance force (ISAF).
It was unclear how the third foreign soldier died, ISAF saying it was “as a result of a non-battle injury”. That could mean an accident or suicide.

UN chief calls for immediate end to Kashmir violence

UNITED NATIONS: UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called on Tuesday for an “immediate end to violence” in Indian-held Kashmir, following weeks of confrontation between Indian troops and Kashmiri protesters. 

His spokesman Martin Neseriky said in a statement that Mr Ban had urged “calm and restraint by all concerned”. 

Responding to a question at a briefing, Mr Neseriky said the “secretary general regrets the loss of life” due to hostilities in the region.
