    Abdul Wahid Soomro was born on October 21, 1962 in village Mohammad Hashim Soomro of Thatta, Sindh. He was the son of Ex-MNA Mohammad Khan Soomro who is the closed friend of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. he went to Cadet College Petaro (CCP) for further studies. He did his matriculation and intermediate from the Cadet College Petaro (CCP). He started his political career in his student life in 1981. He got member ship in Sindh People Student Federation (SPSF) and then became the President of Sindh People Student Federation (SPSF) unit Liaquat Medical College (LMC). Jamshoro, He graduated from Liaquat Medical College (LMC), Jamshoro, and Sindh in 1989 and he also got the degree of B.Sc from Sindh University. On 18th of February 2008 he was elected the Member of National Assembly of Pakistan from NA-237

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Thursday condemned as “despicable” a US church's plan to burn the Koran on September 11, saying it could inflame Muslim sentiment across the world, a statement from the president's office said.
President Asif Ali Zardari said “anyone who even thought of such a despicable act must be suffering from a diseased mind and a sickly soul,” the statement said.
“It will inflame sentiments among Muslims throughout the world and cause irreparable damage to interfaith harmony and also to world peace,” the statement quoted Zardari as saying.
“The President called for doing all that it takes to stop such a senseless and outrageous act,” the statement added. – AFP

GAINESVILLE: A Florida pastor put on hold Thursday plans to burn hundreds of Qurans and said he would cancel the event if a controversial mosque project near Ground Zero in New York is relocated.

In a day of high-stakes religious brinkmanship, radical evangelist Terry Jones at first announced he had canceled Saturday's ceremony, which world leaders fear could ignite a fierce Muslim backlash around the globe.

But when his claims of a deal over a proposed Islamic cultural center in New York dissolved in acrimony, he threatened to go ahead with the incendiary ceremony to mark the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
