KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Wednesday criticised a private media group for its alleged biased attitude towards the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and President Asif Ali Zardari.
Addressing a press conference at the Chief Minister House, Shah appealed the apex court to warn the media group that is continuously airing public opinion about the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) case, which is still pending in the Supreme Court, as doing so falls in the ambit of contempt of court.
He announced boycott of the media group and said no minister or PPP officer-bearer would participate in any talk show.
He condemned the anti-PPP media campaign against Zardari by the media group, and said it was creating a confrontational situation between the judiciary and the government. staff report
