MQM denies involvement in Karachi target killings

Terrorists have been given a free hand to kill innocent citizens: Farooq Sattar
KARACHI: Leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Dr Farooq Sattar on Monday rejected claims that his party was behind the recent incidents of target killings in Karachi.
Addressing a press conference at Nine Zero, Sattar termed the killings as a conspiracy and said that the MQM was not taking revenge for the murder of Dr Imran Farooq by targeting people.
The MQM leader blamed the government and specially the provincial home ministry for the violence. He demanded that President Zardari take notice of the killings and stop the unrest in the city.
Sattar said that terrorists have been given a free hand to kill innocent citizens. There was no one to stop these terrorists, he added.
He urged that elements involved in the terror activates should be apprehended and hoped that the killers of Dr Farooq would be nabbed soon.
